More than just a slab, the dramatic natural stone featured in this en-suite bathroom is a statement piece. In this newly built SweisKloss design and constructed custom home, the bathroom is transformed into a high-end spa-like space centered around this striking marble.
The focal point of the bathroom is Marble Unlimited’s Onyx Rainbow polished slab. The heavily veined marble features sweeping organic striations that add movement and a layer of depth to the slab. Distinctive onyx, amber and gold tones stand out from soft gray, warm taupe and cream hues. Installed at full height, the material extends seamlessly from the back wall to the tub deck, reinforcing a sense of cohesion and quiet luxury. The frameless glass enclosure preserves the openness of the alcove and allows the stone to remain the focal point. A niche and ample shelving around the tub provide room for bath products making it functional and stylish. Warm brushed brass finishes add refinement and compliment the jewel tones of the veining.
The continuity of materials from the shower to the vanity, both in terms of the stone and finishes, creates a visual thread that ties the room together. Farrow & Ball’s Skimming Stone neutral paint color on the vanity drawers and walls has a calming and balancing effect against the vibrant and colorful marble.
Complimenting the colors is Indoteak’s pennyround mosaic flooring, crafted from reclaimed teak. The water-resistant flooring has an organic feel and timeless style.
