Lights That Light Up Our Life

From geometric pendant lights to elegant wall sconces, this Valentine’s Day, when candlelight is not enough, set the mood with our favorite lighting fixtures.

Pendant Light Fixtures
From a dramatic entryway to a statement piece in the living room, pendant light fixtures can transform a room and become a natural focal point in any space. Nature inspired this artistic piece (left image) “in the guise of branches of white leaves” we used in a recent project. The pendant light fixture from Pottery Barn (center image) will be installed in a dining room and features recycled glass. The Bloom Pendant fixture (right image) “combines a finely perforated mesh core and frosted blown glass” to elegantly showcase the library’s symmetrical bookcase and fireplace.

Wall Sconces
Add ambience with wall sconces. With white oak, brass wall plate and charming pull chain, this wall sconce (far left) provides a subtle bedside glow. Sconces aren’t just for bedrooms. The Beacon Hall Sconce (center) creates a cozy reading nook in this Culver City living room. Sconces are ideal for bathrooms, adding elegance and function to this recent ADU project (right image).

Outdoor Landscape Lighting
Continue the party outside with patio lighting. In this Mar Vista remodel (left image), we incorporated wall sconces and a pendant light fixture to create a warm glow that allows the moonlight to be center stage. The undulating curves of the pendant is “designed to seamlessly blend the line between indoor and outdoor lighting.” This Flindt Outdoor Wall Sconce (center image) “emits an asymmetrical downward light that illuminates the ground” combining safety and style. Windfall’s modern and streamlined outdoor wall sconce provides “robust durability in harsh elements” and can be mounted vertically or horizontally.
